As a power wheelchair user, you may struggle with seeing what’s behind you, especially if you have limited mobility in your neck, back or shoulders. While we all wish we had eyes in the back of our heads, there is an easier solution. The backup camera from Quantum Rehab® is a great accessory for your power wheelchair. You can see what’s behind you while reversing without turning around. Read on to learn more about the rear view camera for wheelchair users.

Benefits of a Rear View Camera for Wheelchair Users

The Quantum motorized backup camera promotes safety and provides greater visibility as you drive. It offers a rear viewing angle of 170 degrees. Remove the guesswork when you reverse with this motorized backup camera. Do you live with pets or children? No problem! The wheelchair backup camera helps you see your pets and children easily while backing up. If you struggle with bumping into doorways, walls or furniture while reversing, the backup camera is a great asset. Now you have eyes in the back of your head!

Some wheelchair users need to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Spare your eyes from blinding lights. The backup camera offers infrared capabilities so you can see what’s behind you even in the dark.

More About Quantum’s Motorized Backup Camera

The wheelchair backup camera mounts anywhere on your Quantum electric wheelchair. The LCD display measures 3.5 inches and attaches easily to your electric wheelchair’s armrest or side rails using a gooseneck mount. You can choose between two different modes: the camera is always on or the camera turns on when you give a reverse command on your drive controls. Currently, the Quantum backup camera is available exclusively on Q-Logic 3 controllers, although it will become available on NE and NE+ controllers in the future.
