Exeter, PA – Pride Mobility Products Corporation announces the 2010 Pride U and Quantum University Seminar Tour. The comprehensive 27-city national tour begins on February 9 in Charlotte, N.C., and continues through October, with a final stop in Wilkes-Barre, PA, near the company’s headquarters.
Pride Mobility and Quantum Rehab have invested in a comprehensive, annual Seminar Tour since 2000 that travels the country presenting Continuing Education Units (CEUs) via courses approved by the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences. As of 2010, Seminar Tour courses are also state approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the State Physical Therapy Associations. These educational sessions present providers with the opportunity to stay current on product features and functionality and obtain the contact hours (CECs) and CEUs required by many state and national governing bodies. In addition to the accredited courses, Pride also makes available company experts in the fields of technical training, product research, design, testing, electronics, mechanical functionality, and funding in order to enhance providers’ expertise in the mobility products industry.
With seminars and educational opportunities at 27 different locations, the 2010 Seminar Tour delivers more content to our Providers while reducing their travel costs for even further value, offers CEU courses at a reasonable price, the best seating and positioning instructors in the industry, and first-hand demonstrations of Pride and Quantum Rehab’s newest product innovations.
“Every year when we set out to determine the curriculum for the Seminar Tour, we base our plans directly on what providers are telling us they need,” says Dan Fedor, General Manager of Education & Compliance. “Pride and Quantum feel very strongly that this year’s seminars are the most comprehensive to date. They are designed specifically to deliver the required educational credits demanded by the industry in a very affordable venue.”
The 2010 Seminar Tour curriculum will include Medical Diagnosis and Power Wheelchair Electronics, PMD Audit Survival Guide, Reimbursement Fundamentals for Complex Rehab, and The Science of Mat Evaluations & Wheelchair Prescription. In addition, Pride’s Silver Star Certification Course will be offered at select locations.
Seminar Tour presenters consist of a team of certified specialists who also are featured speakers at industry-related conferences and seminars throughout the country. Lange, OTR, ABDA, ATP, who is an Independent Clinical Consultant, and many more new and returning presenters will share their expertise on the 2010 Pride U and Quantum University Seminar Tour.
